MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID FOR ADULTS

6 HOUR TRAINING (2 INDEPENDENT, 4 GUIDED)

LEARN HOW TO SUPPORT THE PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE

Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in adults ages 18+. You’ll build the skills and confidence you need to reach out and offer initial help. You’ll also learn how to guide someone towards appropriate care if necessary. This knowledge helps to reduce stigma and foster a healthier, more understanding community.

AFTER THE COURSE, YOU’LL BE ABLE TO:

  • Recognize common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD).

  • Recognize common signs and symptoms of substance abuse challenges.

  • Understand how to interact with people in crisis.

  • Know how to connect people with the help they need.

  • Better understand trauma, substance use, self-care, and the impact of looking out for one another.

“I received a training from Olivia on anger management for my business. I completely love the training, it was interactive, organized and the workbooks were a gold mine. Highly recommend!!“
